Marking-up PDF Documents on an iPad

One of the iPad Apps I find very useful is Aji iAnnotate. It allows you to read PDF documents on you iPad and to mark these documents up. These PDF documents can be added from iTunes Sync, or pulled in from DropBox (see previous posting).

When you need the document you can open it and start reading wherever you are. It also allows you to add Text Notes, Highlight or Underline text, create a Free-Form Drawing, add Stamps and Bookmarks. I find it very useful for reviewing documents or drawings that I don’t have time to read at the office, or for marking up drawings on site.

Once you are finished you can either email it from your iPad for updating or it will synchronise back to iTunes next time you sync your iPad. You can also print directly from your iPad using AirPrint (see next blog) It is possible to print either the original document or the marked up document.

The downside of this is it is not a free app but I believe it is well worth the $9.99. It has saved me a lot of time and effort by having my documents with me wherever I am.
